This Basinger’s Pharmacy located in Joliet, IL, Covers 14,500 Sq. Ft. of function space. 3S MEP provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services with Fire Alarm and site photometric for the project. The HVAC system was designed to achieve a proper balance in the sales office and pharmacy area. The electrical design included lighting control using automatic sensor technology for the sales area of the pharmacy. A major part of the project was calculating the load and power design for both the pharmacy and the tenant. The plumbing team designed the domestic water, and sanitary waste, while selecting a sewage pump for the elevator area. The major challenge was to provide sufficient and proper ventilation in the basement area and to coordinate MEP to provide clash-free coordinated models with zero MEP design changes and modifications.
