JOYALUKKAS-NAPERVILLE

Jewelry store project needs comprehensive electrical, HVAC work

Location: Naperville, Illinois

Services: Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing

Category: Jewelry store

Area: 6,020 sq. ft.

Software: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, HAP 5.11

The power and lighting layout for the Joyalukkas Jewellery store in Naperville was designed by 3S MEP + Structural engineering teams to meet energy code requirements. The resulting system includes occupancy sensors, vacancy sensors, and time switches to automatically control the lights based on when spaces are used.

Another challenge was ensuring that the existing electrical service could support the new equipment, which meant confirming the correct phase of the power supply and selecting a location for the electrical panels that met NEC requirements.

The system engineered and designed by 3S provides optimal temperature control, air circulation, and ventilation throughout the facility, enhancing comfort for the staff and customers.

Advanced HVAC technologies and 3S MEP’s expertise in system design created an integrated system that operates efficiently with minimal energy consumption in the showroom, back office and storage areas.

The electrical team designed a comprehensive power and lighting layout for the building.

The plumbing team planned the domestic water and sanitary waste systems to meet the specific requirements of the facility.

Engineers from 3S also ensured that all emergency systems meet required safety codes.

With all 3S MEP projects, a primary focus is integrating MEP and structural designs with the needs of construction and architectural partners and the end-users to minimize design adjustments or revisions during the construction process. Design teams from 3S MEP actively engage with all stakeholders to identify potential conflicts and optimize overall system layout. Our teams are exceptionally proficient at harmonizing essential building elements for successful outcomes.
