The task for 3S MEP + Structural in this project was to provide the MEP designs needed to convert an existing building into a facility that grows cannabis.
The MEP systems had to achieve the climate control needed to produce a high-quality product.
The entire system was designed to achieve temperature and humidity control within the constraints of electrical supply and client budget.
Lighting and HVAC systems were designed to coordinate in providing day and night operational modes for multiple stages of growing and flowering. Air circulators were designed for CO2 consumption and odor control.
With all 3S MEP projects, a primary focus is integrating MEP and structural designs with the construction and architectural partners and the end-users to minimize the need for design adjustments or revisions during the construction process. Design teams from 3S MEP actively engage with all stakeholders to identify potential conflicts and optimize overall system layout. Our teams are exceptionally proficient at harmonizing essential building elements for successful outcomes.
