3S MEP provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the luxurious car dealership and maintenance building located in Louisville, Kentucky. The mechanical team designed the ventilation system as per IMC-2015.

The heavy use of glass in the envelope brought the challenge of selecting a high-efficiency HVAC system to meet the heating/cooling requirements of the building. The mechanical team broadly coordinated the HVAC equipment and the huge amount of ductwork with the building architecture and structure to meet the “Genesis Retail Design” requirements. The electrical design includes a lighting layout, power layout, and fire alarm layout.

The plumbing team designed the domestic water, sanitary waste, and stormwater system and selected equipment like an Oil interceptor, Water heater, etc. to meet the code requirement without compromising the aesthetical appeal of the showroom. The major challenge was to accommodate the heavy electrical load generated by the high-speed electrical car charging station. 

Electrical Design includes the Power and Lighting Layout including the Fire Alarm Layout. The major challenge with this project is the Lighting Design and the Controlling of them as most of the walls in this building are Glass walls.
