3S delivers designs for MEP systems for Hill River House in Needles

Hill River House is a motel that has a game room, living room, kitchen, office, garage, and guest rooms. MEP design was provided by 3S MEP + Structural.

The HVAC system was designed with a gas furnace heating system for the communal spaces and a multiple split heat pump systems for the bedrooms. The systems were also designed to meet California mechanical codes.

The plumbing team designed a well-water pump system with a pressure tank for the water supply. A rack type instantaneous hot water system was selected to meet demand throughout the facility and to maintain low initial and running costs.

Plumbing systems were also designed to comply with California plumbing codes.

The electrical design provided layouts for lighting, power, and fire alarms. The team also performed Title 24 calculations to comply with the California energy efficiency standards.

With all 3S MEP projects, a primary focus is integrating MEP and structural designs with the construction and architectural partners and the end-users to minimize the need for design adjustments or revisions during the construction process.
