The building included dynamic retail space intended for multi-tenant use and the tenants at Streamwood, Illinois. We provided design services for this new space within an existing building consisting of approximately 26,000 square feet. The original space was a vacant shell with an HVAC distribution system and a minimal electrical distribution system. The space will contain spaces for clothing, stationery, appliances, sporting goods, toys food, etc.

The new space is designed to meet the heavy loads of retail spaces and provide comfortable conditions for a better shopping experience with performance-based energy compliance, which 3S MEP achieved by utilizing the HAP5.1 Energy Modeling and Simulation feature, along with a high-performance HVAC system.

In terms of electrical design, 3S MEP created a lighting layout, power layout, and fire alarm layout. Meanwhile, the plumbing team was responsible for designing the domestic water, sanitary waste, and stormwater systems.
