3S MEP provides mechanical, plumbing designs for passive house

Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas
Services: Mechanical and plumbing
Category: Single family residential
Area: 3,850 sq. ft.
Software: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, HAP5.11

In this project, 3S MEP + Structural used a Mitsubishi hyper heat system, a CERV2 Magic system, and a dehumidifier to meet requirements for certification as a passive house.

The ventilation system was designed according to Arkansas Mechanical Code 2018.

Mechanical team designers utilized geothermal and CERV2 systems to achieve energy savings.

To meet green energy standards for saving water, the plumbing team separated the black and gray water to reuse gray water to flush toilets and water the garden.

The domestic water system team also used a plumbing manifold with a PEX pipe system for energy-savings and passive house certification.

With all 3S MEP projects, a primary focus is integrating MEP and structural designs with the construction and architectural partners and the end-users to minimize the need for design adjustments or revisions during the construction process. Design teams from 3S MEP actively engage with all stakeholders to identify potential conflicts and optimize overall system layout. Our teams are exceptionally proficient at harmonizing essential building elements for successful outcomes.
