3S MEP provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and drafting services for the Spring Chase apartment in Dekalb County, Georgia.

We conducted a residential heat load calculation to determine the heating and cooling requirements of the three-story apartment. The team selected the air handling unit and heat pump equipment based on the calculations and they designed the well-regulated duct systems to distribute conditioned air throughout the apartment.

Plumbing design includes a sanitary system, cold/hot water system, and riser diagrams.  The team assisted in selecting the electric water heater, and expansion tank based on the calculations.

Electrical design includes the Power and lighting Layout creation with SLD and panel Schedule creation. The major challenge with the electrical design is to create the SLD using the existing electrical service supply and the meter center.
